Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson, the daughter of a musician born in Mexico was born into a family that was devoted to music. When she was a kid, she listened to a lot of traditional music as well as old Boleros. They also played traditional ranchero and romantic ballads. Ana enjoys the opera and tango genres as well as the various forms of dramatic performing. She started singing and studying songs with her mother then began more intense vocal instruction when she was 16 working with the famous Mexican Tenor Flavio Becerra. Music education was continued by the School of Music of the University of Guadalajara, and afterwards to the School of Sacred Music in Toluca, Mexico. In Guadalajara in addition to Mexico City, she was an active member of numerous opera groups and chamber choirs. When she moved back to The United States in 2000, she sang in the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus before shifting to her place in southern California. She is currently performing classical Latin American songs at private concerts as a singer. Being a teacher and a musician she's committed to many projects in the community because of her love and enthusiasm for music. Ana has also been a former singer in the Community Chorus of Redlands, the Inland Master Chorale, and the Performance Loft. Ana is privileged to be able to share her love for the traditional Latin American music. She is hoping that it will encourage younger generations to keep this traditions living.
